Panama City Beach is known for playing host to any number of events during Spring Break, ranging from soaking up the sun with a few close friends to dancing the night away amongst thousands, with countless other happenings intertwined.
In addition to those time-tested favorites, Panama City Beach is offering one more reason to haul out that bathing suit, dust off the old competitive edge and start perfecting the fine art of The Strut.
This year, Panama City Beach Convention & Visitors Bureau teamed up with Collegiate Marketing Group and StudentUniverse Media with the intent of setting the Guinness World Record for hosting the "Largest Bikini Parade." Previously, this record was held by the Cayman Islands, with 331 bikini clad participants back in 2010. Last October however, Australia broke that record and currently stands as the reigning record-holding champs..
The parade is gearing up to take place at Panama City Beach on March 2012. The good folks from the Guinness Book of World Records will be in attendance, in order to validate and make the moment an official record.
Panama City Beach needs over 357 bikini-clad women, to make their way to our beaches in order for us to break the current record from October 2011 that's held by the Surfer’s Paradise event on Australia's Gold Coast.
Panama City Beach is hosting this event with the idea of generating a unique and fun activity, that’s as wholesome as you can get with 357+ women in bathing suits.
StudentUniverse Media will be on the scene, helping Collegiate Marketing Group manage both the event and the record. Additionally, these two party-powerhouses offer numerous promotions during Spring Break and with the Parade of Bikini’s already generating international attention- it’s safe to say their combined efforts on this promotion has solidified the groups ability to throw one heck of a party.
Collegiate Marketing Group currently runs the largest Spring Break destination
website and along with their
Facebook fan page for Spring Break in Panama City Beach, you can follow these upcoming events and check out other events they might be cooking up.
