Pirates of the High Fest

Panama City Beach will be invaded by plundering pirates starting September 30th and running thru October 7th with so much fun and excitement for the entire community. The Pirates of the High Seas festival will take place at Pier Park with events such as a scavenger hunt, costume contests, parades, fireworks, and everything you'd expect from a group on fun-loving pirates. Listed below is a schedule of events for the festival. Hopefully you can come enjoy the pirate life for a day or more and see what these swindling sailors of old have in store. It's sure to be an incredible fest of plundering proportions.

7:00 p.m. Pirate Libation Party                                            

 

Friday, October 5
6:00 p.m. Pirate and Wench (Adults) Costume Contest, Stage in Pier Park   

6:20 p.m. Pet Costume Contest, Stage in Pier Park

7:00 p.m. Second Line Parade, Starts at Back Porch - Jump in this pedestrian parade, follow the band              

8:00 p.m. Beach Ball Drop, Pier Park Drive - 8,000 inflated beach balls will drop on the streets of Pier Park                              

8:05 p.m. Live Music, Stage in Pier Park

 

Saturday, October 6
7:30 a.m. 5K, Half Marathon, Fun Run (Girl’s Inc.), Aaron Bessant Park - registration opens at 6:30 a.m.                    

12:00 p.m. Children’s Pirate Costume Contest, Stage in Pier Park                             

12:00 p.m. Children’s Activities, BOOKIT.com Beach - Treasure Hunt,  Balloons, Caricatures, Face painting, and Crafts

4:00 p.m. Sea Battle,  Beach at City Pier 

4:30 p.m. Pirate Invasion, Beach at City Pier    

4:30 p.m.Children’s Parade Embarkation, City Pier to Ride Floats (Children must be dressed as a pirate or wench and accompanied by an adult)

4:45 p.m. Children’s Parade, Pier Park Drive

6:30 p.m. Pirates of the High Seas Main Parade, Pier Park Drive                        

8:00 p.m. Dueling Fireworks,  M.B. Miller & Russell-Fields Pier

 

Sunday, October 7
10:00 a.m. Pirate Brunch, Ocean's Restaurant
