Treasure Island Marina and Half-Hitch Tackle Present King Mackerel Tournament
Panama City Beach is blessed with world-class fishing and aquatic activities that our lovely Gulf of Mexico coastline plays host to so often. On September 28th and 29th, Treasure Island Marina and Half Hitch Tackle will continue their 38 year tradition with the
King Mackerel Tournament. A tournament for recreational fisherman looking to enjoy some spirited competition with a handsome purse totaling $25,000.
The one day tournament will hold the Captain's meeting on Friday, September 28th at 7pm with food being served at 6:30pm. The following day competition will begin with a weigh-in beginning at 5:30pm-7:00pm.
Treasure Island Marina Manager and Dock Master spoke a little bit about the tournament and stated, "We really enjoy this tournament and so many people look forward to it every year. It gives us something great to look forward to after Labor Day and regionally is such a big event for the area and all of the participants."
There will be plenty of competition in this tournament for all the participants. This tournament has been a yearly success for almost four decades and is a regional favorite for recreational fisherman.
