'Paint Your Art Out' at the Visual Arts Center of Northwest Florida in Panama City Beach

The Visual Arts Center holds ‘Paint Your Art Out’ classes on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays from 6pm-8pm for individuals to come and flex their artistic muscle.


If you’ve ever dreamed of becoming a painter that produces timeless art to be displayed in international museums and you haven’t met your expectations…don’t worry. The Visual Arts Center of Northwest Florida has developed an incredible class that lets you channel your inner artist. On Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays from 6pm-8pm the Visual Arts Center holds the ‘Paint Your Art Out’ classes for individuals to come and flex the artistic muscle. No need to be a seasoned painter. That is the point of the class.

 Learn From Artists

 Local artists instruct you on how to paint with style and precision. Giving you the confidence to create and paint specific projects that are changing from class to class. The classes were developed around spring of 2011 with an anticipation to increase awareness of The Visual Arts Center. Now they have reached their goal plus more. Willing participants come from various regions to explore how they can increase their artistic ability. With instructional classes from experienced artists, you get a solid foundation to build on from the instructors. For those who might have never touched a paint brush in their lives, have no fear, the greener the better.

 Find Your Muse

 The reception to the classes has been tremendous, with several repeat attendees and new faces all the time. Bay County teacher, Kim Jarrard says, “It’s a great way to spend some quality time with your friends or go have some creative therapy alone.” The classes are full and attended by all walks of life, most that never imagined they would be able to exercise this ability. They might not be creating masterpieces, but they are creating works of art that are yours to keep. It is a unique opportunity that allows you to learn in an environment that is so conducive to unique art.  The Visual Arts Center of Northwest Florida has so much to offer, this is just another aspect of what they contribute to the Panama City area and beyond.
