Gulf World Marine Park is proud to join hundreds of other educational institutions, conservation organizations, and thousands of individuals around the world in celebration of our shared ocean on June 8th for
'World Oceans Day' - an annual opportunity to celebrate our world ocean and our personal connection to the sea.
The Ocean Project is an international network of over 1,200 aquariums, zoos, museums, and conservation organizations including Gulf World Marine Park, is working closely with the World Ocean Network to coordinate activities worldwide under the theme “Youth: the Next Wave for Change” with a special focus on getting the young people in our communities inspired to conserve our world’s oceans.
To celebrate
Gulf World Marine Park will host
World Oceans Day with lots of fun activities and special representatives from our local community. These organizations include National Marine Fisheries, St. Andrews Turtle Watch, US Coast Guard Station in Panama City, Sam's Club, Panama City Beach Mosquito Control, E.O. Wilson Biophilia Center, and others!
