About Gulf World Marine Park
Gulf World Marine Park is a marine mammal public display facility licensed by the federal government under the provisions of the Marine Mammal Protection Act. Originally established in 1969, we are accredited by the Alliance of Marine Mammal Parks and Aquariums. We also serve as a southeast regional coordinator for the Marine Mammal Stranding Network.

Located in beautiful Panama City Beach, Florida, Gulf World Marine Park operates year-round and offers a variety of entertaining shows and exhibits for our guests. We also showcase many exotic animals, including: dolphins, sea lions, penguins, sharks, sea turtles, river otters, snakes, macaws, flamingos, and much more.

Known as a popular destination for quality family entertainment on the Gulf Coast, Gulf World offers a continuous cycle of educational shows throughout the day. These vary seasonally but are always highlighted by our Dolphin Show, Sea Lion Show, Parrot Show and Reptile Show.

Gulf World is also proud to offer many special programs for our guests, including Trainer for a Day, Dolphin Day Camp, Ocean Adventure Camp, and Snooze with the Sea Life. Dolphin Encounter—our most popular program—even grants guests the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to enter the water and swim with a dolphin.

The mission of Gulf World Marine Park is to promote marine mammal education through the display of live animals. By providing quality educational and entertaining experiences to our guests, it is Gulf World's intent to help people recognize the worth of all species and the role everyone can play in the preservation of these animals.

Gulf World Marine Park serves as the area coordinator for the Southeast Marine Mammal Stranding Network. Over the years, our stranding team has come to the aid of hundreds of marine animals. Most animals that beach themselves do so as a last resort. They are usually suffering from an injury or illness that impairs their ability to endure daily challenges. By the time they reach the shore most animals are in critical condition. This leads to a low but increasing survival rate. Gulf World is a long-term rehabilitation facility for dolphins and small whales. We also provide temporary housing and care for sea turtles. Despite the odds, we have been successful in many of our rehabilitation efforts. With every stranding we respond to, we are that much closer to understanding marine animals and their environment.
